    Welcome to Nevada Family Psychiatry

I am a Doctoral trained MEDICAL PA practicing in psychiatry and mental wellness for the past 22 years. I specialize in treating a variety of disorders that stem from low neurotransmitter levels, namely serotonin and dopamine. At times I prescribe commonly used anti-depressants and anti-anxiety agents that can be useful for short or long term treatment, depending on the situation and need. However, I look at the whole body and many times, naturally restoring the normal function of the brain resolves the need for prescription medication. These options have the advantage of being useful with limiting the downside of big drug companies’ prescription medication. Total symptom remission, not just improvement in current symptoms, is our treatment goal.

Depending on the needs of the client, I use genetic labs to personalize prescription psychiatric treatment (insurance often covers this cost). I am well prepared to evaluate and treat mood disturbances, depression, anger, panic, anxiety, obsessions, attention deficit issues, psychosis, and psychiatric aspects of medical illness, like chronic pain. Depending on needs and unique presentation of each individual I recommend over the counter medication or nutritional supplements to add to or replace the prescription medications that may be needed

Because mental health treatment is all about YOUR quality of life, you have to want to seek help and change something that is affecting your life negatively. If you are ready, I am ready to help you.
