I am a Nevada State licensed and nationally certified Physician Assistant working in the area of adult and child Psychiatry with over 20 years of experience as a PA. I am a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and graduated with a Masters in Science in 1998 from Finch University/Chicago Medical School in Illinois, and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2000. Currently, I am in the middle of a Doctor of Health Science program focusing on the effects of food and nutrition on mental health as well as stress and job burnout.
I have been a guest speaker and lecturer on various mental health topics throughout the country and in October 2019, I was honored to speak at the International Association of Psychiatry Nutritional Research in London about the growing role of Nutrition in Psychiatric practice in the USA. I have previously served as the President of both the National Association of PAs in Psychiatry (APAP) and the Nevada Academy of PAs (NAPA).
